Chamber Music

Joel had performed with local freelance musicians from

Classical Revolution PDX and the Portland Music Collective.

Classical Revolution PDX is a community of freelance and skilled amateur musicians in Portland Oregon. Classical Revolution and associated musicians play in non-traditional venues: bars, brew pubs, bakery cafes, and the like. Joel has also performed for music classes in Portland Public Schools.

The Portland Music Collective, is Portland's only cooperative of music teacher (Joel is on the faculty) The teachers not only teach, they perform together. The Chamber Players are ready and able to play your events: weddings, receptions, gallery openings, and fund raisers.

Freelance Work

Joel has played as a freelancer, most often performing new works by local composers. In December of 2015, he played in the ensemble for the world premiere of Portland composer Christopher Corbell’s opera, Viva’s Holiday.
